Bus Rental Direct is a lead-generation marketplace that connects customers seeking charter bus transportation with independent bus companies ("Operators"). We do not provide transportation services ourselves.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
Account information: name, email address, phone number, language preference, and profile photo when you register or sign in with Google.
Request information: trip details you submit (origin, destination, dates, passenger count, vehicle preferences) and messages you exchange with Operators through the platform.
Usage information: pages viewed, search queries, device and browser information, and approximate location derived from your IP address or address searches.
Cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.
To operate the marketplace: routing your quote requests to Operators you select, delivering quotes and messages, and maintaining your account.
To protect your contact details: we may assign you a platform-managed alias email so that your real email address is not exposed to Operators until you choose to share it.
To improve the service: analytics, debugging, fraud prevention, and product improvement.
To communicate with you: request updates, quote notifications, and service announcements. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link.
With Operators you select: when you submit a quote request, the trip details and your chosen contact method are shared with the Operators you selected so they can quote your trip.
With service providers: hosting (Vercel), database and authentication (Supabase), email delivery, mapping (Geoapify), and payment processing for Operator credit purchases. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards.
For legal reasons: to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights and safety.

Depending on your state (including California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to opt out of certain sharing.

You may delete your account and associated personal data by contacting support.
We keep account and request data while your account is active and as needed for legitimate business purposes, legal compliance, and dispute resolution. Messages and quote records may be retained to protect both customers and Operators.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security in our database) to protect your information. No system is completely secure.
The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
We may update this policy and will post the revised version with a new effective date. Material changes will be announced on the site.
